The Family Association of Luopajärvi's Köykkä was established in the first meeting of the family, year 1972.

All of the Valentin Simuna's son Köykkä descendants and their spouses and adopted children, also living abroad, can join to Family Association. The membership fee of the Family Associatin is 7 euros per year.

The Family "progenitor" is Valentin Simuna's son Köykkä, who was born in Finland, Jalasjärvi September 19th 1674 and died there July 19th 1739. Valentin was married twice and he had fourteen children. Thirteen children was from a Valentin's first marriage. Around the year 1703 Valentin established a new farm, name of Köykkä, near to his own home-farm in the Luopajärvi Village, Jalasjärvi. Valentin was enthusiastic to establish the own chapel parish to Jalasjärvi and he succeeded in this matter. After Valentin, years 1722-1755, the host of Köykkä-farm was his son, named Simuna like Valentin's father.
